Your data

Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026 · Updated November 5, 2026

The short version: your Custody Journal and letters stay on your phone. We never see them. We only collect what you choose to send us, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted any time.

This policy covers the Dads Moving Forward website at dadsmovingforward.com and the Dads Moving Forward app (together, "DMF", "we" or "us"). Questions? Email dadsmovingforward@gmail.com.

What stays on your phone only

Contact City

Live two-player games

These are optional. Your nickname, your character's position and look, emotes and game moves pass between the two phones to run the game. A connection service (PeerJS) helps the phones find each other and they connect directly when they can; if they can't, moves pass through a relay we run on Cloudflare. We don't save your moves or nickname. These services and the other player can see basic connection details, like your internet address, and those services have their own privacy rules. Send a game link only to people you know.

What we collect when you send it to us

How we use it

We never sell your information. We don't run ads, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Services that help run DMF

These companies process data on our behalf, only to make the features work:

Links to TikTok, Facebook and Value Shot Mobile take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account or subscription is active. When you ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except where we must keep a record by law, or where we keep only an email address on a block list to keep someone who was blocked for breaking the rules from rejoining.

Delete your data

You can delete your Hangout account yourself, or ask us to delete everything we hold about you. See Delete my data.

Kids

Most of DMF is made for adults 18 and older, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 there. One exception is a Guest Mode visit on Forward St.: a friend's link that anyone invited can open. A guest makes no account, types nothing, and gives us no name, email or phone number. To run the visit, your character's position, look and fixed emotes pass through our relay on Cloudflare. We don't save them. Like any internet connection, the relay can see your internet address, and Cloudflare handles it under its own policy. If you think a child sent us information, email hello@dadsmovingforward.com and we'll delete what we hold.

Security

Everything is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the DMF founder can open the Hangout and member records. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't post private details like your children's names, the other parent's name or case numbers.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced on the site.
